Thread: Western Roundup: Official Entries

I need to defer to different weather: I'll be using the default MSFS Jeppesen weather instead of REX for this event.
Reason: I'm having issues with REX lately -namely the recently released update.

My apologies to the rules committee for the last minute changes. Thanks.

And as much as I love my RealAir Lancair, the RealAir Duke is a pretty sweet gas-guzzler in its own right.
Corrected, per Mike's gentle reminder that the RealAir Beech Duke is Gold Class and is not meant to fly the Low Course.

Howellerman, Beech Baron 58, Low Course, FSX (Jeppeson - having issues with loading REX weather), and of course, Rookie with a capital "R"!

I'll also try to run 3 entries (Duenna tag= "rgo").

Gold Class (High Course): RealAir Beechcraft B-60 Duke

Silver Class (Low Course): Eaglesoft Diamond DA-42 Twin Star

Bronze Class (Low Course): Carenado Beechcraft A36 Bonanza

    All in FSX

Thanks to SOH for Hosting and Exec Committee for another great event.

Ok, to get it in before the deadline, I'm entering a second run for when after I complete the first.

    Hey All,

I will enter 3 aircraft as well.

    1) the Abacus Diamond DA-40 on the bronze low course - if not allowed then the Carenado 206
    3) the real air SF260 on the silver course - this is my lowest priority.
    2) the FSD Navajo on the gold high course

All FS9 all regular FS weather.

It is not the 27th on Vancouver island and I just got home from work. No where in the official rules or official notams does it indicate a zulu time so I assumed local.

Not sure if it is too late to make my entry but if not I intend to attempt all 3 divisions.

First run will be the Bronze low route in the Carenado Cessna C-172N (VH-BAC)

Second run will be the Silver Low Run in the Piper Comanche.

Third run if can make it will be the Gold High Route in the RA Beech Duke.

Will be using Active Sky as my weather engine in P3D.

This has all been made possible by the fact that my house move has been delayed by a month and the three flights will be possible as I am a retired gentleman and have lots of time on my hands.

EDIT: Please see my post regarding some problems with the Duenna.

    Cheers
    Pat

Thanks Paul. Not sure how I will fare as I have problems with the Duenna as it won't pick up the Active Sky weather.

    The "Real-WX" box is red?

I'm going to go for the Trifecta and enter the Bronze class, low course in the FSD Cessna 337D Skymaster (aka: CDM). FS9 with default Real Wx. This will be a scored run, but not going for the prize.

Oops, I turned up late. Never mind, I'll get started quickly, and it'll be a good test for my new FSX rig.

SIAI Marchetti SF260 by Real Air Sims, Silver Class Low Course, FSX, FSX default weather.

Here's another "late" entry. I'll fly the MilViz Beachcraft 55 using their E55 flight model. (They use the same physical model for both the B55 and E55.) This for the Silver Class on the Low Course. Again Active Sky Evolution weather.
    -Mike

One more 'late entry'...I had so much fun flying the Carenado Mooney in the Bronze class that I think I'll try my hand with the default Mooney, Silver Class, in FSX using REX weather. See you in San Francisco.

    Patrick
Expect banging, belching and an occasional manly fart as you roar down the runway at full power. (I have found that the engine can make similar noises)

    What's the opposite of entry?

I hate to mess up record keeping tasks, but I need to withdraw from at least one entry.

I will not be "around" as much as I thought when I originally made the entries and I'm not comfortable having folks wait for me to finish, so ...

As of this post I need to withdraw my entry for the MSFS Mooney Bravo in FS9 ... MSFS (Jeppesen) weather ... Low Course .... Silver Class.

Apologies to the staff for any inconvenience this causes ... and in advance of a possible second withdrawal of the remaining entry.

Will advise asap on that one ... by mid - week.

Well it's strike two .. I have to withdraw my entry in the Gold Class due to real life reasons.

    It's been a great event ... had a ball ... wish I could finish.

    Good Luck All!
