    Still very nice!

    Hey Jeff!

I actually made the conscious choice to go with the green fabric covering instead of the black wool; mainly due to the fact that wool texturing always
looks rather flat and pasted on when not dealing with alpha textures and utilizing the techniques for rendering fur in realtime.

I've also come across quite a few images with the green covers still on; so perhaps some Eagles have remained in this state.

Excellent choice because the green allows more artistic character and thats more interesting. Well done.

No worries Nick. Your green covers do have tremendous detail and look excellent. I didnt realize the wool look wouldnt do well. Learn something everyday.

    Looking forward to it's release.

I miss these guys down at Tyndall.....Attachment 82615
Who knows what the future holds. I have pics from several shows down there though. I love the FS community because they keep the defunct or moved units intact, just like I remember them.

    Great stuff once again!

One of my first up colse experiences with a jet was at Soesterberg, when an F-15 from the 'Wolfhounds' scrambled. At that time there was a small hill at the end of the runway to watch the aircraft take-off, and seeing an F-15 take-off full afterburner into a vertical climb left a lasting impression! Too bad the days of the Wolfhounds at Camp Amsterdam are now long gone..

All we have (Had, as it is in storage now, repainted and awaiting its place in the new museum..) is this one at the Soesterberg museum:

Always love the US jet line-up there, and with the Razbam F-102, Milviz F-86 and upcoming F-100 and F-15 I can have all four in the sim soon.
