I might take you up on that. There is one at the local field that my Dad has done some metal work on, and I have a contact through work that owns one.
At this rate you are going to out rival Milton on pumping out aircraft. :salute:
Some early work on the tail...
Those are some cool mods, but I need to keep it down to one or two versions in order to keep the price down.
Tonight I worked on the blending of the stabilizers to the fuselage...
Just a quick question Robert, anything on the P-61 Black Widow? Really looking forward to this great aircraft for Marianas 1945.

Well, that's certainly understandable, so if I might make an argument for the so-called Super Swift. It's perhaps the most common of the Swift mods - usually an up-engined GC-1B model with a very attractive bubble canopy and many have been further modified to utilize joysticks for control instead of the usual semi-circular control yokes...

Great looking plane Robert I remember enjoying Bill Lyons Swift alot back in the day.
One of the RV-7 paints I did was based off this Swift paint.

Nice pic! The vapor trails off the prop blades is one you don't catch too often.
So the last couple of nights I have got the tail pretty well dialed in, and I have started working on the wings.
Please give us an option of modern nose bowl on the beautiful Swift. Sometimes the old "smile" looks a little archaic on a sleek paint scheme.

Globe and TEMCO built Swifts simultaneously so even the 'original' versions differed and may have overlapped... Rear glass (wrap-over vs teardrop windows), exhaust stacks, other 'minor' bits that still are being researched.
Then add in the "modern" nose, new panels, different instruments, a sliding glass canopy (new shape and animations), uprated engines, stick vs wheel and that makes 3 models and interior models, two airfiles and it hasn't even reached the extensive re-engineering Lopresti put into the Fury (changed wings, nose again, engine again, canopy again, interior/panel again, flight dynamics again). Oh,I forgot that all the research appears magically at your door with dimensions and specs.
Yep, it should add what? about 2 or three hours of work?
Here's one page of Swifts - see how many individual differences one can spot in 19 different aircraft. Oh, the choices!

That's one of the fun things about using TeamSpeak... hearing the modeler's screams (and other noises) when you ask a simple question like: "Are you going to model the corrugated ribs on the outer wing panels of the stock version?"
Keep plugging away Robert! I'll be grateful that we have a Swift of any flavor available in FSX.

That's a particularly good looking aircraft. I look forward to seeing the fsx rendition!
Owen.
I enjoyed Bill Lyon's Swift in FS9 so I'm looking forward to this one. This plane looks and performs like a private version of a fighter, much like a Bf-108.
I made a run at the gear this weekend. All of the linkage animations are done, and are working well. Still a lot to stuff into the wheel well...
