    Can anyone explain the "door" (panel?) that opens near the root of the starboard wing at 2:31 - 2:33? I do not remember ever having seen that before.

    I've seen it before, and have watched it quite a few times. I never get tired of watching it,
    That door panel on the wing wasn't latched properly and came open during in flight apparently, and the airflow over the wing kept it there until landing when the airflow dissipated and the door panel flipped shut quickly as you see on the vid.

    Here's another one of the same connie taking off..flaming exhausts in daylight. Has anyone heard a connie takeoff? Is it loud with all 3350s at full throttle?

    It's always good to see another classic restored to airworthy condition.
