    Pensioners restore rare WWII bomber

    From today's BBC website:

Two pensioners from Lincolnshire have restored a rare WWII Lancaster bomber.
The Panton brothers are now attempting to get the plane flying again.

if they did wouldnt that bring the total flyable lancs to 3?? (2 if they havnt fixed the one in canada yet after it clipped its wing)

I watched this on BBC yesterday morning! That Lancaster is in beautiful shape. It is allowed to taxi only at the moment. Hopefully be flying soon!

Still a big step bewtween taxiing and flying - especially in the UK.

Let's hope they can get it done.

Would be great to have two flying Lancasters.
