Hi.:mixedsmi:
Found a quick fix for era file corruption. I stand to be censured by the experts, and no way wish to vary nor complain about the excellent ETO Instructions.

Before the problem, stored complete copies of all CFS3 versions in an external back-up drive. [WD Smartware won't let you pick bits out of the entire backup, bit useless in that regard]

So instead of backing up the relevant bits of ETO and using the ORIFS installer, just deleted the whole game and App Data and Docs. files then pasted in a whole new copy of the game. Takes a few minutes for transfer.

Then had to line up the paths (editing) of the 3 batch files including the Music Swapper in ETO, to reflect the new location

Then did the usual CFS3config and MultiCFS3, and fix all the desktop shortcuts/icons, then it was ready for start. [Compatibilty mode was available in case of hard starting.]

Ran the usual external back up system for both OS and game drive, to be sure.

[Not saying the instructions should change, nor that everyone should do this]
Hope it helps
