    Hey Shessi!

Well the 410 is just about finished but still have to liaise with Chris about a few things first.

I did email you back re-a modded panel, as the old one is not useable as is, due to height of the cockpit up the screen. I roughly re-vamped it and fired it off to you...let me know.

Re-115, like the new panel pic. I will get to the 115 sometime soon, but so many projects.....so little time....aggg!!

    Cheers

I sent you the reworked panel... and as of yet I have not gotten any email...
I need some advise... I am working on a conversion of a Piper Cub into an Operation Torch Grasshopper... and want to enlarge the rear window and skylight window...
I understand the areas can be made invisible... i.e.: transparent... tried to do it with the DXT program... (making the areas pure green, etc) and it does not happen
what am I doing wrong or not doing????

  2. #402

Get your texture and make the area you want to be transparent pure green ie. 0,255,0, in your graphics prog. Save with the greeen tex and import into DXtBmp. Then from the selection at the top 'Alpha', drop down to the selection Create Alpha channel (green), select this option. This will make any pure green area transparent via an alpha channel. Save as a DXT3 bmp. You now have a bmp that has an alpha channel, which is transparent.

If you wish to alter any of the framing etc in that bmp, do that in your graphics prog, save and re-import into DXTBmp and then re-save using the above method.

    Cheers

    Shessi

ps Just re-sent the amendments to the 410 panel pic.

    Shessi...
I don't know what I am doing wrong... followed your directions... and somehow the area does not look transparent at all???

Boulton Paul P111 panel..... now that

Master Ito has come back in circulation I thought it opportune to redo the panel of his BP P111 as well
as "touch up" a bit the paint job.... Ito San's rare aircraft are always so much fun to work with... the
panel really needed a redo, to wit:

    Very nice rendition Gaucho.

The center windshield post was not used as the Fleet 50K had a "mooring window" there that opened for water taxi to dock.

    See the attached shots.

Any chance of copy of this redone texture & panel Gaucho? I'm looking at the FDE which, as predicted, needs a lot of work on it - sadly what I don't have at the moment is a lot of time!!! :-D

    Another jewel from Master Ito!

Master Ito's work never cease to amaze...here is another one to do battle with Shessi's Me 410...
My repaint of it ... textures available as usual... Think I'll do a night fighter version next....
(working on a new panel for it too... Panels are just not Ito's bailiwick...)
