If they do, they'll probably screw it up.

Why the cup might be half empty....

Band of Brothers...epic story. special effects added to the story line. Nothing too out of the woods.

The Pacific....again, epic story. Same deal on special effects...oh wait....except for the aircraft parts (cheesy).

Now, something in the way of aerial combat? Need to see the story first...that's the deciding factor. How tempted with trying to make the effects the prime character? Might be overwhelming....we'll see.

I am looking forward to what they come up with.
Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there."

I agree and HBO is a fabulous channel, the reference was to the comment, ie. the negativity before the project is even off the ground.
Given HBO's history, I anticipate a highly polished product.

I've seen HBO's Band of Brothers and The Tuskegee Airmen, both were great. HBO can produce top quality entertainment and even stick close to historical accuracy when they try.
