    New AlphaSim Freeware Address

    Hi all,

The Virtavia site is back online and the link to the freeware stuff is on their homepage. Here is the direct link to the freeware:

    Kind regards,

    TW

Edit: I removed the link due to possible malware issues. My appologies.

Using Bitdefender Internet Security 2012 and FFox... i'm getting this warning:

    STOP!
    Bitdefender blocked this web page.
The page you are trying to access contains malware.

    Details:
    Web Page: http://www.virtavia.com/Freeware/index.php

Access from your browser has been blocked.

Hope its just a false positive on an otherwise harmless site...

    Bearcat,

I'm getting the same message, and I have BitDefender. So it's just just me.

    Bearcat,

I didn't. I could hear the voice of my father saying..."to here ye may proceed, but no further."

    Hi guys,

Sorry about that. Do you get the same warning if you go directly to Virtavia's site?

Well TW, that's the thing...i hesitate to go any further than the warning, so the answer is i wouldn't know. I could easily disable the block for this site, but i'll sit on it for a little while and see what others are saying about this.

AVG + Opera browser. No warnings.

Unfortunately, the files are not divided in folders as it was in the old site.

No problem with Firefox and Comodo anti-virus.

Great to see this stuff available again. Thanks very much to Alphasim/Virtavia.

It is a false positive. Your BD is seeing the index.php extension, which is an older scripting language, as a threat, so it's throwing it out. Do not fear, it is a genuine link and ok.

I totally agree better to be careful, than the pain of sorting out a 'nasty'!

    Cheers

When I originally went to the freeware site, AVG gave no warnings either, but I'll wait as well before going back. I only wanted to see if any new planes had been added anyway.

    Edit: Guess Shessi answered that.

Thanks for the follow up and the insight Shessi.

Opera and Fully up-to-date Norton IS2012 shows no problems.
