Same in real life. The last two weeks or so, the trees are noticeably starting to change.
That's pretty neat. Do you remember what ~time it was when the change happened? I'd like to recreate the effect.

I reflew this again, and it happens on Aug. 31, at 7pm local time or 00:00 Zulu near KOSH. First time that the season has changed during a flight.
