    Czech Dakota?

Can anyone help me get hold of a C-47/DC-3 in CSA (Czech) livery?

There is supposed to be a MAAM Sim version - which would be great - but default fs9 would be OK. The now standard probs with MAAM & Avsim. Bah.

I've been to the Czech flightsim site, but you get these weird, unopenable rdm files, yuk.

If anyone can send a normal zipfile for MAAM or default I'd be most grateful and promise to do quite an interesting flight with it! :salute:

Two different a/c were listed on the MAAM site:

Czechoslovak Airlines used 50 ex-USAAF C-47s in their Silver Fleet between 1947-1959. By Pavlon Zbynek

This one linked to AVSIM and file seems to be gone

Cs.Letecka Spolecnost (1937-1939) The Douglas DC-3-220A (sn.2023) is one of three DC-3's used by ÈLS (Czechoslovak Air Transport Co.). This machine under registration OK-AIE flew on the lines of ÈLS from autumn 1937 to spring 1939, when German nazis overran Czechoslovakia. Repaint by Vladimir Steffan.
This link seems to be OK

Yes, been there. Unfortunately it's the postwar (1948) CSA one I'm trying to get hold of.

Only hope seems to be if anyone grabbed it before Avsim went bad...

Ralf, this will probably be no good, it is maybe the paint you want but it is for A Jan Visser 2002 model C47 which may not work in fs9.

At the bottom of the page.

I am using the Jan Visser model in FS2004 with a Buffalo repaint. No props and initially the landing gear didn't show but the latter can be fixed by a tweak to the aircraft cfg.

Thanks for the help, Rich & JP, but nothing coming up there I'm afraid.

The MAAM Sim one was, as srgalahad says, by Pavlon Zbynek, but none of his work seems accessible any more. Looks like he did one for them & one for the default DC-3.

Surely somebody has a zip saved out there somewhere? (or knows wtf an rdm.file is?!?)

Found a few at Flightsim.cz, and these appear to be regular .zip files?:

Thank you! Have sent William my email, so hoping to post good news & an interesting flight soon...

The Czech zip files download OK, but all you find inside is jpegs, Readmes and the mysterious rdm which can't be opened. Others had the same problem in the Cal Classics discussion forum a while back.

Ah, I didn't download, just looked at the file name. Anyway, inside is a readme file and with a bit of help from Google translate I get this:

Repaint the RMD format - you need to install the program Repaint Manager v1.1, which is available for download on the site http://flightsim.periskop.cz. To add a start? Te Repaint Manager program, there click on the button "Add new texture" and select the RMD file from this archive.
Which leads me to this file:
