Nice SE Asia scheme on that Superbolt, Milton. That plane might have even been able to shoot down MiG's! It would have made an excellent partner with the Douglas Skyraider.

Actually it was refurbished, rearmed and sold to mercenaries in the mid 60s to fly for a Central American country's revolutionary resistance in its civil war. It flew and fought against that country's own P-47Ns and F-51Ks! It was shot down by small arms fire during a strafing run on a federal convoy. The pilot was able to put it down, gear up, in a small clearing near the road the convoy was on. He was captured by the government troops he had just been shooting at but no one knows what happened to him after that.??
Well, it could 'a!

Yeah... good to see her flying again, Duckie... You did a right decent job on restoring her to flight status.

LOL! Would love to be able to take credit for putting this mercenary back in the air but I have to bow to Nigel and his band of merry men for this restoration!

The Skipper's given us a real treat with his latest masterpiece.
I'm still on Tom's magical first flight model (which I'm guarding VERY closely).
So, BB686; you've hit the nail fair and square on head by suggesting complementary ops with Skyraiders - my feelings entirely.
Duckie; you have the beginnings of an exceptional whopper, you certainly had me fooled...care to expand on this fascinating adventure? ...
Pete; interesting read/lead on the 'Soccer War'...so what are you suggesting, Sir...which side had the Supperbolt...I'm in the mood - care to expand?

Yessireee... The Superbolts would go in and provide the first air assault on enemy munitions posts, and then double back as escort for the second wave of Sandys as they mopped up. Now THAT'S my idea of close air support, with just a touch of "harassment and interdiction"! Also, Superbolts could have served right along side the RAN and RN Sea Furys in Korea. The possibilities are endless....

Some screenshots of the latest in "72" paints ...
Nice shots, Chief. I reckon Nigel has done most of the excellent paints on the "72". Complete with the oversized beer kegs with fins on them disguised as bombs. Those look to be of the 1000 lb.variety.

In preparation for release of the XP47H, I have uploaded the XP47H Paint Kit:

Thanks to Duckie for his awesome work on the paint kit and this beautiful aircraft.
Special thanks to Duckie, for all of his hard work and creativity on this model. We are all very lucky to have talented individuals... (Milton and his band of merry men... you all know who you are) that are still willing to develop and create such superb works of art for FS9. The "Republic Trio" will be well worth the wait.

I just want to do a special "shout out" of thanks to the beta testers on this project:
Sim-Outhouse Membership - special thanks to WND, Blackbird686, Sundog, WBuchart, Mike Kelly, Tuor2112, Eric Payne, and team members for all their efforts testing in FS9 and FSX, and P3D.
There are some minor FSX issues (typical) and P3D issues depending on your version and updates but typical of port overs in P3D.
The "J" is uploaded

Edit: The Paint Kit will be available later next week.
The XP-72 will require a few more days as the new sounds and new liveries are checked out.
The "H" and "J" should keep you busy until then.
