It'll be fitted to the Tiggie and DH89 when released, I'm also going to stick it in the BoB Spits and Hurris. It requires the source cockpit model to use it anywhere else.

Perhaps a model with the bomb racks that were fitted to the Tigermoths(150) in 1940, with a flare loadout??
it might be a easy way to overcome this in our beloved CFS3 set-ups.

I have read they were planning a use of these in a pinch..

We have a ground fired flare effect, is there a flare gun/very pistol anywhere?

Are you referring to fur-covered tyres?

  13. #163
Bomb racks sound good, maybe you use it as a 'theoretical' target marker/pathfinder on a training run (night?), where something mean (Mossie?) comes along and obliteratates the target.

Or smoke flare near coast, spotting downed crew or a/ in water?

    Hi Guys,

Been playing with a couple of options, (sorry Clive, could'nt keep quite after getting this to work).

fitted 20lb cooper bombs to the fuselage, and an old lewis gun to the top wing.

It took the combined efforts of Clive, Steve Seybolt, Pual Norris, Rob Hoage and myself to get this all working.

the lewis gun is a loadout, rather than permantly mounted on the model. it has 141 rounds of ammo (3 magazines worth)

The lewis gun is an old model I did for OFF about 6 years ago, Clive remapped the model and fixed a couple of hierachy issues for me in gmax, and the skin is a rework of Rob Hoage's skin from the first model. the Coopers Bombs and bomb rack are from Pual (Nod) Norris, Paul put these onto his original SE5a model again about 6 or 7 years ago.

Steve, took a look at the weapon files for me when I couldnt get them working and found were I had gone wrong.

Long story short we have a few options for semi historical and what if missions.

    regards Rob.

Bad news with my slight digression I have not spent much time on the template, so it will be a bit longer before I get that sorted out.
No other success can compensate for failure in the home..

So the RAF did actually outfit some Tigermoth's with guns?

    OH YEA!!
I have been reading about this little bird, and they did fit 150 Tigers with a bomb rack..Had a plan to use them, it wasn't implemented.
I haven't read of any guns..
But that said, I want This!!
    Rob this is Great..
    Tiger with teeth and claws..

I can use the bomb rack to drop flares in the missions to signal the destroyers in the CC missions..
As for the Lewis this could be fun!!
    Thanks Rob..
    And there is much rejoicing!!

Really clever stuff, Rob. Only just read it: these will be heaps of fun!
