FSX Davis Monthan AFB problems

Hello,
i have downloaded and installed BlueSkyScenery´s "Davis Monthan Air Force Base" from here http://www.blueskyscenery.com/download.html. It seems that FSX uses the standard textures mixed with the one´s from BlueSky. Does anyone got an idea what´s wrong here?

You might try changing your terrain LOD setting in fsx.cfg to a higher value. In Win7, the file is located at "C:\Users\UserName\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\F SX". Using the sliders, I think 4.5 is the highest value, but you can edit the .cfg file to a much higher number.

Mine looks like this:

LOD_RADIUS=9.500000

I think BlueSky typically uses 1m textures, so make sure you're setup to that value or less.

I don't see a LOD issue, only a time of day issue. A lot of photo work is done for day time only. Start to get into dawn, dusk or night and you will have issues.

Try adjusting TEXTURE_RESOLUTION=25 up one to 26.

I see what you're talking about Meshman, blending at dawn and dusk will look bad if no photo night textures are present.

Sepp666, if all else fails, you might give my version a shot. See the link below. It's 2m photo resolution for most of it, but 1m at the airports. It does include night textures, custom buildings, autogen, etc.

finaly i installed your Scenery because the bluesky doesn´t work correct for me.

I think your scenery is great - only the area at the boneyard in which the Tomcats are, could have been more detailed...

There is an area where no textures are, i have marked it on one screenshot. But that doesn´t matter for me.

The area without textures is actually apron paving with some autogen buildings.

The Tuscon scenery made by BlueSky is their old stuff...very old stuff! The newer sceneries are awesome, but it may be awhile before he re-does Tuscon.
