    Messerschmitt Bf-109K-4: New Screenshots

The project is getting closer: Model is 99% ready, Manual is complete (the Manual will be available for free on the Flight Replicas website in the next week or so), and the website page for the release is being constructed. The flight dynamics are another Bernt Stolle masterpiece, tweaked and tweaked again, and have also been tested extensively in multiplayer, against A2A aircraft and others. In fact, here's a quote (unsolicited, and which I've kept in the Manual!), from a real-world USAF T-37, T-38, C5 and presently career 737 pilot:

“The K is an impressive machine - I was able to keep up with then out climb the Mustangs and Thunderbolts up to 31,000ft; keep up with the Mustang at low altitude and dominate the P-47 low. A 47 actually dove on me from high altitude and rapidly closed, but the distance was too great. The K really performed in a comparative sense exactly like it should, in the areas in should, and was weak where it should be - namely endurance and poor high speed maneuvering - perfect! I think it will really impress people with it's performance and accurate character.” (Greg Bartos)

And so, until everything is ready, a few more screenshots:

I've changed the wording slightly on the original post, just to avoid any confusion. Yes, it's the Manual that will be free.

    Hooray!

Nor law, nor duty bade me fight,
Nor public men, nor cheering crowds,
    A lonely impulse of delight

Chomping at the bit Mike. Thanks for the update, it eases my nerves a bit but only a little. I was wondering about progress. My credit card is ready.

My favourite planes in IL2 were the german ones.

I loved that absolutely ENORMOUS swing to the left on take-off with the ME109.

The feeling of it when turning, diving and rolling around generally was rather unique I thought. Felt it liked to go straight more.

Looks great (as indeed does their ME262 which I love) and Bernt has done the FDE = MUST BUY.

Thanks for your passion and efforts guys

My favourite Bf109s are definitely the square winged versions, but why should I complain as a man can never have too many Messerschmitts!

Its really to see good to see an other bad boy about to arrive! Thanks Mike!
