Very good hardware choice. I'm a bit concerned with the video card, but it should be fine for FSX hopefully.
Good luck with the reinstall. Always start with Windows. First windows update, then all the libraries which are not handled by Windows update: C++ runtimes, Java runtimes, DirectX runtimes etc....
    Then the additionnal programs.

I think a GTX 460 would be a better choice if you're the nvidia only kind of dude.

well it arrived, and even with the less then best graphics card (its was a prebuilt so i didnt have much choice!) it runs FSX with all settings right at 30fps solid (locked), my old pc struggeled to run most fsx with most sliders fully left .. so yea .... i'm happy

Good, I'm glad you are pleased and finally enjoying FSX as it is meant to be enjoyed. GPU's are of small import as we all know for the sim.
