i love this plane...and i havent even flown it yet.....i know this is stupid but i "day dream" about being rich and owning planes..and because im a simpleman,,ive allways wanted to own and fly the dragon rapide because of the single seat pilot setup..and then the RAF version of the lockheed hudson...i like the idea of the single pilot in that too....lol

This was actually the very first airplane I ever downloaded....I was going back through the files and sure enough.....
Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there."

I'd already downloaded the FsX version, ready to fly as I built my FsX rig back in 07 so it was my first FsX download.

Yes, a few Canadian Rapides had floats fitted. Not sure of the exact number, but I believe it to be around half a dozen.

  11. #61
very cool..thanks for the replys and pic links

  12. #62
Thank you, it was great surprise to see updated version after so many years! I'd like to ask about ADF - in aircraft.cfg there are two options for ADF antennas, enclosed and open loop that can be added to external model. Is that purely visual aspect, or it also adds ADF indicator and radio to the cockpit?

  13. #63
The ADF loop antennas are visual only, to allow for more accurate Dominie type repaints.

A "proper" Dominie model is planned, but no ETA as yet.

  14. #64
Thanks for the answer, variety is always welcome - good luck with the float and Dominie expansions!

You take it easy.. and have a nice day

This is one of the coolest planes ever built! Downloading now. Thank you so much for this offering! I have your Auster and love it. Judging from that, this one must be great.

Wanted to say Thankyou to you Dave and the others involved. I've always loved this aircraft, and I'm thankful that you produced it

(The G-AIDL livery is my favourite, Often used by the BBC in filming)

I may have to download this.. We actually have one where I work on the weekends. I was under the impression it was the only one (never really thought much to look into it, just know it was formerly one of the Royals Dragon Rapide's as it has the crests on the seats).. Is an unusual plane though, but cool to look at. Does look amazing in the screens others have put up!
