    Stuart Green's WW1 planes

Stuart Green has a number of outstanding FS9 models for WW1 which convert nicely and have very good frame rates overall. A number have moving pilots & even moving rockers on the engines. The downside is that none have working controls surfaces in CFS2 (go figger!) They are perfectly usable in the sim even lacking the animations but would be totally 'kick a$$' if they were somehow fixed. The aircraft include: Sopwith Snipe, Albatros DIII, Fokker DVII, Pfalz DIIIa & the Caudron G-4. Does anyone have an undeniable urge to tackle these ? Oh yes, also a SPAD VII.

I would be happy to have them as they are. They can always be improved upon at a later date. There's also a Zeppelin-Staaken bomber which would be great.

They are all readily converted to CFS2 with MDLC , merely requiring replacing the airfile with a CFS2 version & of course, a DP which will most likely require some tweaking. As far as the Staaken, there is a another model for CFS2 which gets excellent FR's & makes for an excellent AI target.

The B24 Guy has done a fantastic job on these. Now it's a matter of final tweaking & contacting Stuart Green for permissions & upload preferences.

Looking for some help with the DPs/airfiles. Found a glitch or two but all in all, these planes are going to be fantastic in CFS2!

There doesn't seem to be a whole lot of interest in these models. I would have thought otherwise. I'm having a problem with the Pfalz DIII sporadically 'losing' the horizontal tail control & a few texture issues with it (All connected, I'm sure) but the others are functioning great in CFS2.
I still haven't contacted Stuart Green but will do so shortly.

I am extraordinarily interested in these wonderful WWI 'planes old wheat. I did convert them some time ago for my WWI install but, of course the control surfaces were locked and the dps were from other planes too.

I would love to see a new WWI mission or two, especially with these aircraft.

    Go on

Oldwheat, go on - we NEED WW1-planes so badly, especially now Gary has stopped making his marvels. I have looked at Stuarts site for years and hoping he himself would make CFS2 versions. Please, please, DO upload them. Unfortunately we do not have a smiley on hís knees, but I am right now.

I will definately be interested in downloading them if you can get the okay from Stuart, would definately enhance the WW1 experience, that Floh needs a bit of competition !!!!!!

Great news and thanks OldWheat and B 24 Guy, those are indeed fine planes and it will be great to see them converted.

SG has given his blessing for uploads, it can only be onward & upward from here. I'm still looking for a volunteer for DPs & airfiles ( & skins, Seagull ).

On my SG_Snipe I used a air file from Richard Osborne's Snipe. Seemed to work pretty well, as did the dp. The gun flash needs to be closer to the guns, but I don't know how to do that.
I did replace all the instruments with Sopwith ones though.
