Space Shuttle Over DC

I caught this on BBC, a video of the Space Shuttle Discovery over-flying the Capital Buildings and Monuments in Washington this morning around ten. A solid degree of emotionality, a fitting display for a fond farewell.

In truth, it's not really a so-long, as we'll get to see the old girl any time later on at the Air and Space Museum in Virginia. But it is a striking moment in time.

Looks like they didn't clean her up good after her last space flight. I hope they display Discovery as is.

Shuttle Atlantis isn't mentioned?? NASA keeping that one in mothballs?

Last I read, is that NASA will be keeping Atlantis for themselves, with it going on display at the Kennedy Space Center Visitor Complex.
