Here's me on my way, confident, flying high wide and not afraid to die, thinking “if you blokes think Imperial Airways has any intention of getting beat in our own back yard, I'm afraid you will be very disappointed...”

And here I am two days later, somewhere “in Africa” as the caption so helpfully points out, wondering where the heck we are (as are, clearly, the hapless passengers), and where we're going to get petrol as we listen nervously to the lions off in the distance...

This looks like fun. Can I bring one of these to the party, I think it fits in the timeframe ?

Just to keep things straight, Flight 19 is working on the Spring Event and what you've seen so far are leaks to have a little fun and generate interest. Some of what's been posted will be in it and some are red herrings. Right now the rules are being tweaked for better competition. We've got a white list of aircraft that is also being worked on. At this time, we can't say for sure what is on that list, but it is pretty extensive and is being added to as we test more aircraft. We're hoping to get more info out in the next couple of weeks and that everyone enjoys some new twists.

oldpropfan, at this point I can't say for sure that FIAT is on the list. If you're interested in flying it and it's not on the list when posted, you'll have the opportunity to have it included before the start of the event.

Willy I can help ... if you guys would like ... with some testing.

I am however looking forward to the event and any testing would have to be on a generic stage.

Don't want to gain any advantage as a result.

Thanks for the offer Salt, but I think MM has it under control.

Don't forget your slingshot in case of charging rhinos or mildly disapproving bandits. Or is it the other way around? :d

Yep and .... for things that taste different ... apparently goats are a real treat in the Sahara region.

Not sure, but I've been led to believe that the ones killed with a slingshot are the most tender.

Scribbled this down on the back of the kneeboard ... you never know.

    From a good source ....

1 (6-8) lb shoulder or ham

1 tbs each of salt (no relation), black pepper, and garlic

6 slices of bacon (if you have any left when you're ready to prepare)

Trim the fat ... rub on the dry ingredients ... wrap with bacon and slow cook for two or three hours over open flame.

Eat quick and run because that smell will be attracting all sorts of predatory wildness I don't have recipes for ... yet.

We have learned that a courier is inbound with briefcase full of stolen notes and maps. Thankfully a MRC DC-3 crew spirited him away just before he was detained somewhere near the Alps...

Seems we will be finding out about this mysterious event real soon!

The recently acquired items are being decoded and deciphered. Interesting stuff here. Dr Livingston, I presume?

Pilots should bring an appropriate amount of baksheesh to cover any eventual requirements from the local officials
