There are very respectable models of this albeit FS9 e.g.

FS2004 Sikorsky S-38 'Untin'
Bowler 75th Anniversary twin-engined amphibian. Registration NC-9753 was first
S-38B produced by Sikorsky and had the original flat windshield. Bought in 1929
by Col. Robert McCormick, owner of the Chicago Tribune. Pioneer aviator "Shorty"
Cramer convinced McCormick to let him take the S-38 to establish a Northern
route from Chicago to Berlin, via Labrador, Greenland and Iceland. Passenger
seats were removed and replaced with three 100-gallon fuel tanks. In July 1929
Cramer and pilot Robert Gast got as far as Labrador when they got fogged in for
a week and drifting ice floes battered and sank the plane in a harbor. Features
reflective textures, gear animation, upgraded VC. Cabin and cargo hatches open.
Extra radio gear included. Magneto/starters work in VC. Extra fuel capacity
provided for. Panel includes XML gauges adapted from Vega and DC-3 defaults.
Kneeboard checklist adapted from DC-3. Itinerary of 1929 expedition included,
with NDB frequencies. By George Diemer.
No idea if it will fly in FSX though.

A little more about a model here. http://mainescenery.proboards.com/in...ay&thread=8847
I'd support the building of any Sikorsky floater.
