Yea James you are right regards the weathering, I do have other schemes that will have more, I just try and keep a balance, as not everyone likes heavy weather!

The bump map will likely be toned down more before release Borek, I'm still playing around with it at the moment, it's probably the leading edge that needs lowering more than anything?

Thanks Wiek, I enjoy seeing them in your shots!

Here's a slightly more used MK IIb James, but I will go further/dirtier! lol

******* amazing! Now if only I could polish up metal bullet holes so they could do the realism you have achieved some justice.....

Yeah John, that MkII is a bit dirtier. I also think it was at least a MkII used in 'Raech for the Sky'.

You clever so and so John...lol!

Personally I like the level of weathering you achieve, and this Spit, working-used but not too abused......

Awesome Spitfire Mk II !! Can't wait for it's release. Thanks for all the hard work to bring it to us. Much needed. Regards,Scott Edit: Will bump mapped aircraft work in a non-AnKors shaders install ?

  7. #1857
unfortunatelly not, Scott. its the Ankor feauture - I mean you will not se the bumps. its additional texture layer which will be not loaded / rendered at stock CSF3 game install. you will see a "flat", common skin texture surface... as you can see the Ar 234

Looks great John, really looking forward to working with the Mk.I!

One thing you'll notice in John's screenies btw, is there are two different shapes of spinner, as fitted to Rotol (rounded spinner) or De Havilland (pointed spinner) propellers. Each type will have its own unique characteristics in the FM.

    Yum, thanks, Wiek

Would be possible to take some shots similar airplane position to what is available as download sheets at simhangar.nolimit.cz, see your image used for the Blitz there, or the other sheets - wallpapers I would replace the Flugelrad art then, if you would agree.

Im not sure if i can make a good shot with this one, maybe because the plane shape and the camera view is like they're not connecting each other ...will find another way still thinking of it

    Testing Normandy photorealistic tiles...carefully selected from 7K images...huft !
It's low res but i like a lot which some of the airfield and target blend with the ground texture and the view of terrain looks more wider especially from high altitude much more looks realistic. More variety in land color & type which makes the battle experience wont be the same again.

    Thanks schott !!

Here's couple more shots...well it's so sad too leave many good texture images unused but maybe for spare sets if i got bored sometimes
This photorealistic will fit CFS2 also but if put in the right combination each land tex but i haven't try it yet, CFS2 is a bit hard to get blend because they design fix square tiles only, each texture must be at the same allignment or it will not match each other. Unlike CFS3 design which only need at least only same color temperature even when you mix them as long they not too much different in color hue, it still nice to see them.

So these photorealistic tiles you are talking about; is this something you are trying to do for the whole of the CFs3 map?

Aww, chin up Fritz, any landing you walk away from is a good one.

No james, this tiles only replacing the standard summer/spring tiles which is only 24 tiles for whole map and it's not autogen anyway, all map will use the same tiles but what makes it looks different is the color and variety of land type when you see it from above. Not much area with the same looks at least

I'm a bit. well a lot. ignorant on tiles. So do you mean that one would still see these hotorealistic tiles where ever you fly, or only in summer and spring??

The design only to replace both summer and spring with the same tiles texture but yes i can combine them with different tiles each summer and each spring, that would be 48 different tiles and what we will saw, it depends on mission date.
I dont know if CFS3 can only use specific summer or spring tiles only on mission date or it will show a mixed combination between summer & spring.
In my experience they will show mixed but i would like it if they can also use specific tiles only for summer only and spring only because in highres dds folder there's only 1 type to put in and you have to choose between summer or spring tiles because of the same filename.
Its only for variation but the texture itself is either spring or summer only and no winter or autumn type.

I'll be interested to see where you take this and the finished product.
