Still trying to make some 3D clouds.
Awesome news !
I know 3D clouds have been a challenge. Best of luck with working it all out finally.

Looking good! Also looks like some interesting developments on the specular highlights.
Yes, awesome, but also unusual!

Hats off to you yet again, John!!
Thanks for the comments fellas!
Schemes are from 57 (OTU) Sqdr, these oddly painted Spitfires were flown by senior officers in flight training, they would simulate attacks oh trainees, which earned them the nickname "Bouncers". The red, white and blue nose, was flown for a time by FO "Ginger" Lacey, and the yellow nose by FO James Storrar, who said this of his aircraft "My yellow nosed Spitfire, the only one of its kind, used to frighten pupils. It looked exceptionally smart and the girlfriends never failed to recognise it"

Very nice work John! With all these great pics of your work over the last months, are they going to be released or what? Would hate to get rough with you John, but very willing to let your daughters know where you hide your credit cards if they aren't released soon,LOL
LOL we're getting there Scott, some nice features coming with this one!
They already have my credit cards, I'd like to know where they hide them from myself!

John,
I have to say it again, absolutely stunning, just beautiful. Your superb texs along with the bump mapping, just....... I mean those last two screenies are just aviation print quality, I would be very pleased to have those hung on my wall.
Great to see another slant on the Spit. I knew about these early test/jump flights, but I didn't know that the guys 'dressed' up their ac for it. Learn something new!
What I would say, CFS3-ers really need some good/better prop texs, IMHO, I think it slightly detracts from the overall, as it's about the only thing that's not too realistic.....
(Oh, I appreciate you guys probably look at other forums, but you just have to take a look at what Nigel's doing...http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...hp/115165-Avro....)

Great shot Major!!
There ya go G!
Very nice, much much better.
Totally agree with you about what people think they should see in the sims, unfortunately using frame frozen photos or art work as reference, and not real life. I appreciate all the sim's have their limits, but personally, less is more when it comes to prop discs.
With MM's dawn patrol pic, just the hint of prop tip yellow (older model I know), and your new model prop disc md3/tex, are far more realistic.

Beautiful model gecko. Nice work...can't wait to fly them !
