Wow !! so many beauty screens lately !!
Wow !! so many beauty screens lately !!
Yea we only have the old GC He 111 Ted, so I've done some revised skins, did the weapons and pylons too.
James I could add it to the package, but I thought you wanted black paint splattered all over them?
Loic, well I cheated a bit with this scheme, it should be on a H-20, which was the last production He 111 with up-rated engines, and powered mid upper turret, (which we don't have) you'd be surprised how some of these late versions were painted, the one in the shot was quite tame!

. Do you have an incendiary bomb load? If not I have done some for a couple of LW bombers by basically renaming Allied ones.

An H-16/H-20 would really help the late war Luftwaffe lineup. Wouldn't complain about the early series being remapped onto a single texture sheet though. I like filling them with holes so much but it's a shame not to be able to see my handiwork when I'm done!

A couple of 110's for MAW, and another interesting heavy!

WOW! Your skins are always a work of art. I often pause the screen and just observe as if I were in a museum staring at a painting.
Thanks Barry!

I didn't knew some Me110's with this big gun were operated in the MTO.

Those look great John! And that elusive Me 323 keeps showing up - will it ever see the light of day?
They sure do!
And about that Me 323 - I am sure that when it ever pops up, it will wish it never did:
"On 22 April 1943, a formation of 27 fully loaded Me 323s was being escorted across the Sicilian Straits by Bf 109s of JG 27 when it was intercepted by seven squadrons of Spitfires and P-40s. Of the 27 transports, only six reached their destination; the remaining 21 of the Me 323s were lost while three of the P-40s were shot down by the escorts." (Wikipedia, 'Me 323' page)
It almost seems a waste of John's perfect paint job!

There is already a Me323 somewhere around I think, an AI one.

Yea I think there is, but this one is a never finished MAW project, it needs a bit of tinkering, it moles very badly, but works well otherwise, I need to get it fixed up and sent out, textures are good to go!

Yes I think there was one, but it was so unfinished as to be nearly unusable even as a target. Moling can apparently be fixed by editing the bdp (and remembering to never delete it!), but I've yet to figure out how that works.
Will have to find somebody who knows then Dan, cos I don't either!

Who dealt with all the moling in the early days? Corrado La Posta or someone?

A cruder looking version was included as part of a Mission Pack by HH.

This version seems to sit on the runway just fine and flys reasonably well.
I don't currently have it, but I can take a look at the moling issue of the one above if it ever goes public.

Isn't the moling issue fixed by adjusting the contact points?
Been trying to fix a moling problem i'm having with a bunch of Just Flight BoB aircraft for years and never got anywhere with it. I do remember something about contact points though. Modding the bdp file is not a good fix.
IIRC there's something in the Knowledgebase sticky. One quick way is to make the wheel diameter bigger in the contact points section of the .cfg file. Of course, its a virtual wheel diameter and cannot be seen. That is probably the quick and dirty approach, there are other ways to amend the contact points.
I was thinking the other day that if the Spitfire undercarriage of the early models was a bit narrower than it should be, the wheel contact points could be set to the correct distance apart anyway. Would save an awful lot of my AI wingmen when returning from a mission.
I don't think it can be amended in the contact points section. IIRC it has to do with the naming of the landing gear parts in the source.
