Those Spitfires look so amazing and lifelike it's unbelievable !! Excited about some new Spits !! Things just keep getting better all the time!!

I stand corrected! Now that I'm home and can see my own screenshot again, I can see that the mainmast is right aft of the funnel which does make it Gniesenau! My apologies.

I also checked and CFS3 does have the main difference between the two modeled, so Scharnhorst and Gniesenau are distinguishable from one another. Nice!

It's just a quick combat in ETO in Era 1 starting in France at Lorient. Both sister battlecruisers are there and the flak is remarkably dense! To use torpedoes, I had to fly around to the seaward side and take a very shallow angled shot. It's also fun to do it using Tallboy/Grand Slam Lancs!

For the Spitfire lovers out there, our next project will be some of the early marks. It will be a model, skin, plus a whole lot more update of the "Zuyax" model. Very early development so far, but I've been able to do some almost finished skins.
Wow they're stunning John! Perfect for some Rhubarbs and Rodeos!

Also..any chance of some mk1s out of that model pretty please?

John's bump mapping really adds a lot of character to the paint, these are truly gorgeous.

Ted's just sent me the latest, so I'm back on it, and shouldn't be too long!

Not a Manchester, but just though it was a nice shot of a favourite of mine, I just lowered the saturation a bit!

That Sunderland shot looks the equal of any sim on the market, nice! Looking forward to those Beaufighters too! Ted, let me know when you want to add the effects we talked about a while back.

The Sunderland is my favorite CFS3 aircraft, thanks for this beautifull screenshot!

Some truly wonderful screenshots on this thread, what a long way CFS3 has come!

The Beaus' never looked right with Merlins to my eyes, I prefer the stubby look! Looking forward to these new aircraft.

    Icon26 John

Every time I see the Sunderland I fall in love with her all over again. Making the plane with Steve and you was so much fun. It has to be, aside from the He219, my favorite plane. Of all the planes I have made I don't know why this boat with wings is so near and dear to me. Thanks for sharing her.

Oooh, I like that A-1 skin. Please upload.

I spent quite a bit of time increasing the resolution, and smoothing some of the jagged lines when I made this into a stand alone version. It started as a skin I pickedup back in 2009, but the package doesn't give me a clue who produced it or where I downloaded it from, so getting permission to upload it will be problematic.

At the risk of making myself unpopular, if you want to do post-WW2 combat simming, SF2 does it better than CFS3...

You are so right ! SF2 is great and don't forget IL-2 '46 BAT has this covered too. SF 2 is a lot of fun and BAT covers every era from WWI to the jet age. BAT has over 1,500 aircraft to choose from and yes it has working radar guided missiles . Still enjoy CFS3 but IL-2 '46 covers so much more i'm hooked. Thankful for all the work being done with CFS3 . With all the new aircraft being done CFS3 is not dead yet !!
