Great shots of the new MkV A fine looking aircraft.

@ Dan. For the upcoming TOW install, Ted has done the approach and landing lights or torch lighting for numerous RAF bases inc. Debden, as well as many Fliegerhorsten. These have only been on one runway; normally the one CFS3 always starts an aircraft on; so it seemed good to get more bases than a few with all runways lit. For the next era, some like Deelen will have all 3 lit up and taxiway lights. The Fligerhorsten all have Lorenz ILS in my missions, thanks to Steve and his multipurpose app. I have yet to investigate when ILS was used in the RAF.

ZG1 out patrolling the Italian Coastline 1943

Groundcrew Design Groups outstanding BF110 G2 with a texture converted from IL2 by bzhyoyo

Taken from the read me -
This BF110G-2 carried two Mg151/20 in the upper nose in place of the 4 Mg17.
This Modification, although fairly widely used in an effort to raise the 110´s
fire power, had no specific designation as it was not supported by the RLM who
supported the variant with Mk108 (see the BF 110 G-2/R3 description) . Preferred
by the pilots even over the R3 variant for the higher rate of fire and the lower
risk of getting hit by debris. A serious threat for the allied heavy bombers

Yes and there is still one flying in Swiss, I saw it a couple of years ago at La Ferté Alais air show in France. Thanks for that screen shot! I think this skin os one of Nigel's one.

I'd love to see that! Does it use an original engine?

    Nice shot too. I like Nigel's 406s.

    Victorious !

The P-47 is a great, hard work in the game against most of the axis planes but still enjoyable.

Is that an actual war era skin?

    Mick

PS Never-mind a quick google search found it, a 509th FS, 405th FG aircraft, that FG had some wild nose art and the P-47 sure has a lot of surface area on the sides of the cowling for the art.

The P-38 is one of my all time favorite WW II fighter. Here it is over France ...

  22. #2697
Talking about P38 over France the Air Legend airshow at Melun-Villaroche near Paris was held three weeks ago and I was not there. It's really frustrating because the flightline was really great and a P38 was there and I've never seen any in flight yet. https://airlegend.fr/paris/en/2021-highlights/

I loved him pointing out the flush head rivets, and discussing the tail buffeting issue.
