    HS-129

    Over at LWD design, Canion and SpowithC, along with many others has released a fantastic HS-129 pack. I never have had the Alpha version, so this really fills a hole in my collection. The pack details the entire Berta series with the B-1, B-2, and the ridiculously up-gunned B-3.

    The 3d model is fantastic. Really well done. The skins are works of art (if the entire aircraft itself wasn't already) The 2D panel fits well, but is not 'entirely' usable as it does not display all of the gauges that the VC does. The VC functions excellently, and really displays why the gun sight had to be mounted outside of the cockpit! It's cramped!

    It handles like an underpowered, and at times over loaded pig, which is true to it's real life counter part.

    Now all I have to do is find a good sound pack for it, and it's all set!

    Fantastic work to all involved and a wonderful Christmas gift!

    Burn the land and boil the sea / You can't take the sky from me...

    Wulf190,

    What a Christmas present, and it's multi-lod to boot! This fills a gaping hole in my Luftwaffe collection, thanks for the update! :ernae:

    By the way, the Hs-129 used the Gnome-Rhone power plant, so this should fit the bill nicely: http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...fo&FileID=5188

    Tonybones,

    Ya gotta go to Lindsay's to get it my friend. A link without a membership there is about as useless as hen s*it on a pump handle.

    ..........its worth the price of admission (0) for the other exclusive stuff that Lindsey has .........

    Canion deserves the credit for this - all I did was splash some Paint ..............

    MERRY XMAS !

    Wow! Looks like Canion really outdid himself with the "Panzerknacker" and Sopwith is up to his usual high standards with the cyber paint brush.

    Thanks!

    The 50kg are by Simtech and are at Part 3 of The Classic Aces Fw190D9 Package in the Warbird's Archive:

    The DB 50's are a good fit when named in the DP. The DP for the 129-1 also lacks the proper gunstation entries, unless it has been fixed.

  20. #20
    I just got it installed. The Hs_129-B1 DP probably should be edited so the Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17 also appears in payload.0 section. Perhaps a little fine tuning in the gunstation section also.

    [PAYLOAD.0]
    ; Payload = Guns Only
    mount.0=Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17, 1, 1

    [PAYLOAD.1]
    ; Payload =4x MG_17-Bombs 2 x 50kg
    mount.0=Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17, 1, 1
    mount.1=wep_ge_50kg_gp, 1, -1
    mount.2=wep_ge_50kg_gp, 1, 0

    But I'm getting CTD when the gun addon is selected. I looked at the bgl and believe there is an error in it. From similar past bgl problems it appears that the IfVarRange and its parameters should be removed every place it appears in the bgl. The IfVarRange has something to do with the aircraft position relative to some RefPoint which is not present in the bgl, nor required in a weapon bgl to my knowledge.

    ObjID( 193174CA E7F34CD8 92AC0381 1A5291E6 )
    LibObj(
    PWR 0
    SIZE 2
    SCALE 0.500
    TYPE 0
    NAME "Wep_Gr_4x-MG_17" )
    IfVarRange( :L00B3A1 0346 2 32767 )
    BGLVersion( 0732 )
    :L00B3A1

    Sooo, I think I will edit the bgl I have and see if it cures the CTD on my puter.

    I edited the bgl and have no more CTDs. Is anyone else having Crash to Desktop when selecting the gun weapons? I'm thinking my puter maybe in the twilight zone.

    I´m reading "Hs129 Panzejäger" by Martin Pegg. 342 pages, each and every one better than the other. Good research. Genesis, development, use, first hand acounts by pilots and mechanics, etc, etc.

    Cheers, Discus

    Works great in FS9, just had a quicky with no alterations at all, seemed fine. Sits nice on runway, flies nice, even lands nice and taxis OK. Well worth looking into FSX possibilities imho. May try that next. Maybe Obio will give it a try?

    yes, not always but a couple of times. Are you planning on uploading the tweaked .bgl?
