The more twin-tailed Lockheeds,the better!
Please read post #122 above. I could use these materials beginning next weekend.
Thanks for any help with this; it is appreciated.
There's a PV-1 Ventura aircraft manual on e-bay for sale -

Between the "Avia" and the "Grumman Tracker, Tracer, Trader"... et al, the Lockheed Harpoon seems to have disappeared into the shadows.

Well Milton, I can only fly and crash one plane at a time, so I can relate. I did a real nice job of stacking up the Alpha/Virtavia Saab Draken the other day... got a bit to slow with her trying not to damage the hydraulics when lowering the gear. Forgot that the Draken needs at least 225 MPH to stay in the air and I dropped the gear at 200. Suffice to say, the gear wasn't the only thing that dropped.... the plane literally fell out of the sky, only moments after the stall horn went off. Rats!!!
I just wanted to keep the thread current, is all. I'm sure there is a bunch of interest, and we'll get to fly the fruits of your work in due time.

Just bringing this post to the front
Pete.
Thank you sir; I am working my way back to here, lots to do here and there with so many toys that need attention.
Still looking for more period photos of the real world cockpits of the Harpoon and Lodestar if you all find waiting to be boring.
I have the Pilots Handbook which is great, but I know there are some good cockpit photos out there. After the project is done, they seem to pop up for people to criticize your work.
always liked the looks of the Harpoon..looks stealthy in the picture..haha

Sinister! It looks SINISTER! Gives me an idea for a dark grey paint scheme with the cockpit interior glowing reddish orange through the glass from the panel light illumination... like EVIL RED EYES! LOL!!!
OK... I'll shut up now, but you do have a point, Modelr.
