I think there are a few of us who miss Gerard, a very highly skilled model maker to say the least,
He certainly was, he made a really beautiful mesh for a mk1 Spit of which I was fortunate to have been given a copy, but sadly it's long since lost...unless anyone else has it?

    Hi John,

great work as always. you deserve one of these. (just one though, you may have to paint a few straight lines)

    regards Rob.

the first one is very unusual, was it a test or was it used for specific missions?

Scheme was used by JG 52, Eastern Front, Loic. Don't think it was done for a specific mission, there were many wierd field painted schemes used, especially in this theatre!

This particular paint work is a bit controversial, there is a period colour photo, and some say it's probably the exposure that gives the red/brown colour, it may have been a standard scheme with RLM76 stripes sprayed on?
That would be a bit boring, so we'll have this one anyhow, looks nice!

Got another very unusual one coming soon, as far as I know only one pilot used it!

That's the catch, It never had one built for it!

Mesh is far too good to waste, so we'll have to use whatever we have already in game for the pit, unless there is something that can be used we don't know about?

If Luca's 109E pit fitted, that would be great! Although I think that's a tricky pit to add??

The 109E pit fits perfectly since window framing remained the same. You could easely transplant it all into the F with little to no effort. That is, if you accept the fact that the F pit had a totally different layout!:mixedsmi:

I will gladly send you (or any competent modeller) the source file if there's a wish for it!

    Piece of cake!

    This Bf109F is a bit non-standard:-

    Got it yet? Look closer:-

    No, closer!

This is the late Gerard van der Harst's Bf109F with SixGhost's cockpit for the MAW Bf109E, the best VC I at least have ever seen in CFS3. It isn't quite right for a 109F, but does anyone really mind??

These gauges are all 3-dimensional and the paint job is Bravo/4's impeccable best. He'll have it just as soon as I fix the needle animations I have inadvertently mangled!

Please save your thanks for SixGhost who very kindly gave us his cockpit mesh for this. Between him and Gerard such a good job of these models was done that all I had to do was drag and drop the VC into the F external model: simples! (squeak)
