    September 15th 1940

    To commemorate Battle of Britain Day, September 15th 1940 I've put together an historical mission based on events of that day. Also in this pack is a set of ai aircraft which have the radio chatter added and which are required for this mission. It is made for the BoB install but it will work in ETO if you hand edit the player aircraft type in the .xml file.

    There are no real goals in this mission other than to get up, intercept and get down again in one piece!

    I think they'll be the same aircraft, best let them overwrite as there may have been some minor changes over the last few months.

    A few screenies form the mission;

    Swarms of the s*ds!

    Providing a 'sitter' for the rear gunner...

    A healthier distance, the cross fire is still murderous

    Combat report...One HE111 damaged.

    The result of concentrated return fire!

    Nicely done, Pat. I can fly it even with my upper-mid machine what with all the ai's.

    I got two of them before I got to looking around at all those planes, and got jumped while daydreaming! Silly me; bailed out ok, tho.

    I can only imagine what the real thing must have been like.

    Glad you like it chaps.

    I've been reading through some old posts and gleaning a few tricks from Led Zep and House Hobbit (thankyou gents) and made another version of the mission. This time your in a 303 sqdn Hurricane based at Northolt. The ai seem a bit more agressive now after changing the flight types to CAP rather than intercept.

    mission attached.

    I'm off on my hols to Cornwall now for a week so will see you chaps later!
