Huges and Euro, what i can do is make the paintkit in 2048*2048 initially then rescale for FS9, that way layout of panel lines et al. stays the same and saves further work on the FSX Conversion....

Milton are there any points on the aircraft you need shots for reference?
Smoothie, have you tried Airliners.net? A great source for aircraft photos.
Cheers
Doug
all Dougs images saved..... back to my other project for a short while....
Nigel, will your sounds work in FSX? just wondering.
"If three-holers are gas guzzlers, why are there four-holers now???"
"But what do i know? I'm just the 800 pound guerrilla in the room."
Fire! Fire! Your pants better not be on fire....
Doug, I have 100's of pics at the moment. I think I have all I need for the exterior. Interior pics of floors, sidewalls, back panels, etc. are always welcome.
EDIT: Flaps in various deployment degrees, under-wing view of flaps deployed; a great side view of the wheels (exactly perpendicular and not marred by shadows) would be great for a texture.
Matt, I will upload many pictures for you when it is time.
CAG if i recall Nigel recently got FSX so he'll no doubt be able to sort things on that front also.... if i know him like i do then yup he'll do it....
If the sounds don't work in FSX from the start, by the time George and I finish the FSX conversion of the model, they will.
Sunday morning focus was on animations and testing of the rudder, rudder trim, elevator and trim tabs. These are ooking great now.
Sunday afternoon and evening spent on cutting in the tail hook and wheel to the rear of the fuselage. Tailwheel is actually for the Tracker. I wanted to do that one first as the shape is a bit better for the fuselage cut. Today I will put the E-1B tailwheel in this model and save the one shown for the Tracker.
I am awaiting some drawings to complete the side windows placement and some minor sizing verifications.
Today's focus will be on tweaking the flaps and ailerons shape and finalizing animations.
Okay, finally have the E-1B tailwheel in place and saved the other for the Tracker.
Thanks to some great feedback, I changed the tail hook shoe to better match reality.
Got some tweaking yet to do.

:salute:Cag, Smoothie's right about the sounds...coming to grips with X, so "yup he'll do it.... "
I wish I could get some genuine flaps and retrack sounds for this one...sure be worth it!
Offers anyone?

I know that all the little details that are worked on do not show but many hours are involved in them before more visible progress can be made.
So far today, I have focused on lights on the vstabs, and doing serious reconstruction underneath the wings for the flaps and aileron interfaces. Unfortunately, the work there does not show up on an untextured aircraft in this test. :/
I am trying to complete as much as possible on the fuselage, wings, control surfaces and empennage before moving on to the gear.
Milton,
You're doing an absolutely amazing job again! For such an odd airplane she looks outstanding.
Cheers,
Maarten
Cant wait for this to be finished!!! I grew up with S-2A's Operated by the CDF. I used to love how it would rattle your brain when it flew over the fence. I just loaded a video i edited up from a friend who recorded them at Hemet. Turn up your Volume and hold on to your seat!!!

I have more if you need it. I took some video of start up and them taxiing around and another of it flying by on departure.
I also have ALOT of photos inside and out of the CDF version.
A little break in the action to accommodate other needs.
Milton,
It's already looking great, great progress
About the tailhook, notice in extend position it's (well) below the main gear, see the picture below:

Keep up the works!

Thanks guys. I am back on it for a bit, working on the wing slot, tweaking control surfaces, and now the spoilers. These wings have a lot of things going on; quite the engineering spectacle. :mixedsmi:
