Somewhere there the veins on the noggin of some beancounter are beginning to throb...
innovative new gear configuration that... a skid pack... Brilliant!
either land with it and use it to act as a cushion, or lay it down as you land or dump it, do a circuit and skid it in
Well, while we await progress on other fronts, Tankerguy72 asked if I would do the S2A tanker at CDF.
So, with borrowing parts and pieces from the other aircraft, and shortening of the fuselage, I have finally assembled the S2A likeness, except for shortening the hstab. After that and adding the belly tank, the heavy lifting will be done and I will focus on the details more. Should have this done by the weeks end.
Absolutely awesome, Milton!
Cheers,
Maarten
(icon:rather red faced, cough's Matt's world renowned 'cough'...:icon) Okay gentlemen...I own up!
Its all rather embaressing really ...its just that being Friday I was in such a rush to get back 'home' here.
I didn't damage anything. Honest!
(Just as well, cos what the picture doesn't reveal is the pair of brand new, crated Garrett TPE331 turbos inside, for delivery to the Chief on Sunday). :isadizzy:

As a keen die-hard tanker jockey, this is the one version more than any other, I was so hoping you would include.
Knowing the painstaking time and work you have invested already on this marvelous project, I was somewhat hesitant at requesting this extra model.
Now you have made me a very happy man!
Thankyou!

Maarten, thank you for the continued support of the efforts here. There are many contributors that really made this possible and it is a huge credit to the membership here.
It also helps that I am now retired and can invest 10-14 hours per day.
With just passing the 3 months mark since the start of these projects, we have made tremendous progress.
How can one resist the efforts and requests of so many contributors who give so much.
And, having most of the parts available in the other models made it less painful
Just finished up the shorter hstab and working on the tank and doors now.
Had to back up and fix some C-1A model issues for "mgr" and now we are back on track there.
Happy to be able to do this one.
And, I will send the gmax source off to JAVIS in case he can use any of it for the S2F-1.
