Interesting! Great video. Happy that you showed that.

You can stop the nose gear from doing that by eliminating the castoring nose wheel.

Contact point 0: change the 180 to 45 or less.

Yup. I used 45, and I'm happy with that.
You still get the benefit of differential braking but now the nosewheel animates, too.
    Thanks, Milton.

  5. #1755
If that is not enough to make your pivot onboard for positioning, just increase it to 55-60. The downside to increases is its more difficult to keep her straight on takeoff with an oversensitive steering.

Thank you for the Ouzo, Nigel!
You know, I am a little embarrassed about the music... FRAPS just records whatever it "hears" and I always have music of some sort on the computer.
It was only after your comment that I realised I had all but stomped all over your splendid soundtrack.
Ouch! I will make another, better, clip with the mike shoved in the exhaust to make amends...

    Get on with you...you rascal!

Don't edit. The music reminded me of bouzouki, and I was pleasantly tickled/chuffed.
Don't change a thing mate, loved it!...wish we had more of this kind of input.

Don't s'pose you'd give us a nice one for the Avias would you...or are we getting greedy!

The superb birds, all those beautiful liveries , the awesome sound (a real masterpiece, Nigel). It is such a fun flying these pieces of art everytime I want to fly another type I have to find an excuse for myself not to fly one of the Grumman "7". I think I'm hooked! ;-)
    Thanks everyone for spoiling me.

    Cheers,
    Maarten

Hello Lads, first things first, Congratulations, drinks and all these sort of things to Milton and Team for another magnificent bird. :salute:

Got a problem though: I cannot make the Autopilot work at all, the position of the switches change position, lights blink, etc but it does not engage NAV or GPS. tried to change it installing the Manfred's Constellation radio suite and will keep altitude and heading but again, does not engage NAV or GPS, also the DME will not work.

I cannot find the manual either, Milton said it was somewhere in the thread but cannot find it (am I thick or what! )

Can somebody give me an idea as of where to look? Or what I am doing wrong? I like to fly it by hand but from time to time AP is useful.

    Thanks in advance Chaps!!

You do not say which of the 6 released aircraft you are flying, or if in FS9 or FSX, but I just tried the E-1B, C-1A, and S2F-3 and they all worked for me.
Maybe I have something different from you?

So, did you set up a flight plan to fly GPS?
Did you activate the AP on the console once at altitude?
Did you select the GPS/Nav switch on the console?

That's really all you have to do.

If you you disengage the GPS/Nav switch, then you can trim manually on the console for pitch and heading.
    Does that work?

    More details please.

What does your Radio section look like in the aircraft.cfg?

Looking great, Dave! Would you consider toning down the blue a bit? Seems too bright compared to the real thing.

Thanks for the answer Milton, here are the details:

    Using FS9
The models I'm talking about are the S2A-CDF and the C1A (original, not installed the cargo yet).
Radio and Autopilot in the Aircraft.CFG as per the update you posted for the C1A in both.
The flight plan was set in the FS9 flight planning.
Normally I take off manually and when I receive the instructions from ATC (normally still on runway heading and starting to climb) I engage AP in the console, the NAV function and then GPS for lateral control. Climb control will depend in the type of AP in the aircraft in question.
No problems reported trimming the aircraft.
    AP engaged in the console.
Tried both setting the NAV/GPS switch in the console or the popup electrical panel.

That is about it, I'll try to reinstall them both to see if there is any change. Maybe it is a problem with my rig!

Once again Milton, thanks for the aircraft and sorry about the nag. :salute:

    Saludos

    Hi Milton
Yessir! copied the new panel and updated radio and AP sections in the CFG.

Been trying again today, went manually on course and altitude, then by switching every thing off in the AP including the master, then setting the AP for NAV/GPS and the selector in GPS and THEN switch on the master for the AP it did hold course for a leg, on reaching the next WP, the Aircraft flinched and never recover the signal again. This happened flying the S2A-CDF in FS9.
I'm starting to wonder if there is something going with FS9 itself (fairly old installation) but everything seems to be OK with the rest of AC, funny puzzle.

Oh well, I'll keep trying to isolate the problem.
