Thanks for the info, will go with the 10,200 lbs for a full tank. A lot of weight for a little bird!
Cheers: T
Well, added the lavatory doorand panel, and 9 passenger seats.
Now to remap the aircraft and we should be ready for a few of you good folks to check her out to see what we are missing.
I will be out of town Thursday but I hope to finish this up this weekend.
You beat me to it. I had to wait until I got to work today to find out.
For those interested the Cal Fire (CDF) S2Ts will take 1000gal, 1100gal, or a full 1200gal depending on fuel, runway length, wind, and temp.
Here is the break down of weights for both the old D75-F and the new P100-F
Gallons D75-F Phos-Check P-100F Phos-Check 1000 9400lbs 8500lbs 1100 10,340lbs 9350lbs 1200 11,280lbs 10,200lbs
I hope this information helps.
Hey Uncle Milton, im just wondering. Do you plan on doing the radial CDF tankers and maybe the French (Not sure if they had a Radial version or not...) and ConAir (Radial and Turbine) ones? I dont think there are many other tanker variants of the foreign kind that are much different. Of course i can be corrected.
"If three-holers are gas guzzlers, why are there four-holers now???"
"But what do i know? I'm just the 800 pound guerrilla in the room."
Fire! Fire! Your pants better not be on fire....
Cag40 The French did have both radial and turbine Tracker Firebombers. How ever I don't know if they still use them or not.
Ummm, well, what goes on behind the lav door, stays behind the lav door.
If you have pictures, I will see if that can be done with minimal effort.
Meanwhile, The C1A exterior is ready for the paint shop.
Since no one has yet stepped up for this, do we have a volunteer to do the primary textures and paint kit?
Dont know if its any use but there's some good pics gone up at my favorite spotter site of the Conair Turbo
http://www.airshows.co.uk/reports/uk...-nightshoot-x/
cheers ian
The conair tankers (Turbo and radial) were modded fron CS2F's and S2F-1's (short fuselage and horizontal stabs). Probably better to mod these from the S2F-1 when it's available.
Dave
Edit: I need to correct myself, apparently, the radial CDF tankers and Hemet Valley Tankes were all S2F-1 tankers. I couldn't find any pictures of S2F-3 radial engined tankers at all.
Hi Milton....I have a couple days here when I won't be messing with my truck so is there a way you can PM me the info for the beta so I can test her out a bit? If it's a hassle I'll wait and get it when everyone else does.....It sure has been an intriguing "build" thread!!!! middle
PS....I'll try and get you the interior shots of my truck this wknd that I promised a few months ago......Hey! Wanta make a gmax '57 chevy pickup? HUH? HUH?:salute:

I have some great pictures of the CDF radials. Yep they were S2F-1s (TS-2A) I have seen some pics of the first ones landing at Hemet in the Orange and white scheme which were then converted into Tankers for HV.
Thank you Mr. Visser (AKA Javis). You have outdone yourself Sir.
What a great contribution to bring these aircraft to life. Excellent animations. I like how they talk to each other too.
Low poly for the excellent appearances and textures. Awesome work!
The new seats look great too, very realistic.
This really completes the C-1A exterior with a touch of class.
Now that's what I've been waiting on... the C-1A!
Let Being Helpful Be More Important Than Being Right.
Okay all you texture artists, now is the time to step up to contribute.
I am close to finishiing up the basics of the cabin interior so this aspect of the C-1A should be done this weekend.
We need someone willing to slap some paint on in here.
PM or respond with your interests please.
Thanks to Mgr for volunteering to do the exterior model.
Hey Middle; thanks for your continued interest. We have quite a bit to do yet before reaching the beta stage. Everything is still a work-in-process.
However, if you want to piddle around in one of the five aircraft in alpha stages of development, tell me which you have an interest in.
These are the WIP aircraft: E-1B, S2f-3, S2Turbo (Military variant), S2T CDF variant, or C-1A.
Hi Milton. I wasn't able to post in the forums or even see any of the threads most of the day until a little while ago. I just now downloaded the C-1A a few minutes ago and will check her out in the early ayem unless I get a chance to try 'er out later tonight. Thanks, Milton.
