...an old bird now converted to a FSX model by George Arana.
still a pretty model. Visually accurate too. Thank you both.
Had these textures in the "attic" all these years....they fit perfectly !
A few more coming...
enjoy.
Actually the original FS9/FSX port, old and very buggy but I've been able to track down the developers and it appears to have gone through several upgrades.
Not sure if I want to ante up for the P3D4 version unless it's really good but it might be worth it.
US$50.00+/-.........maybe.

it hasn't got clipped wings, but still nice in this paint..
I continue to be utterly amazed at the quality of the work the OZx team did on this bird...
I was able to take one of their paints, modify it slightly (well, "slightly" might be a little understated, I think it took me at least 6 hours to create those textures on the floats, and I can't say I'm totally happy with them. But, given the stretching and pixel rotation going on, they came out ok), and, well, here you go. I'll be releasing it soon.

Finishing up the textures for the Collings "My Mary Lou"... Hopefully they'll finish restoring it soon. I believe they are working on it, I'll know more on Friday.

For those wondering, here's the real planes
Collings Foundation Grumman Goose
Collings Foundation A-26C "My Mary Lou"
It sadly crashed (with minimal injuries) in 1993, and it's been in restoration since. But I think they are working on it.
Back when it was in Korea. The story is they are the same plane, except this is clearly a B, not a C
I'm going to do a B version, too. (It also doesn't have the nacelle nose rings either )
If anyone has accurate stencils info on this plane, I'd appreciate it. That's about all that's left.

It's on tour as we speak
nice work inside and out!
I would LOVE to have this repaint...
The A2A cub repaint is from this link, 3rd post https://a2asimulations.com/forum/vie...p?f=62&t=59540
Thanks, but I didn't have to do much, just the N-number and redid the pontoons. I lucked out that Collings' plane matches the VH-IRM skin from the original release.
I'm kind of sad that MS modeled the folding wings. I think the older wings "fit" the plane better. And I bet it flew a bit more, shall we say, "stately" with those longer wings.
But, man, those OZx folks really caught that shine of the skin to absolute perfection... I'm stunned by its beauty.
I'll have it up soon...
Thanks for the link
You can find most of my repaints for FSX/P3D in the library here on the outhouse.
For MFS paints go to flightsim.to
airshow circuit begins in So Cal very soon - practicing this year's routine at O26 Lone Pine. Gotta stay in the box and whatnot...
hmm - looks like I took too much fuel with me on this run, lol
Helo Hawaii
His wife just posted on his website in January regarding Roy's health. Sadly, he's been severely hobbled by Parkinson's and falls last year which broke his neck and back. According to his wife those injuries are now behind him, but he can no longer work at his FS projects. But he's still maintaining his website, I assume with the help of his wife and friends.

Heywooood,
What do you use for realistic looking Alps mountains, please?
Thanks,
Aharon
Hello Aharon - if you are referring to the images I posted above including the GAS Super Stearman, that region is the Southern Sierra range, not the Alps.
The airfield is O26 Lone Pine...California
The scenery is courtesy of ORBX North America Global etc..
it DOES look somwhat Alpine for sure..
I used the same region, same airstrip for the A2A Cub images nearer the top of this page also..
