Which Mustang is this paint for? Please say the A2A warbirds 3 since I have the Civilian Mustang and those paints fit it.
You can't take the sky from me...

I'm sorry to disappoint you, Brian, but it is for my model (Warbirdsim) - restored civilian variant with back seat. I released this repaint some time ago (G-SHWN) without the invasion stripes, as is its permanent paint scheme, but marking the 75th anniversary of D-Day this summer, the owner had temporary invasion stripes painted on it this year, and therefore some weeks ago I did the same. I'll package it up and upload it here tonight. For those who might wonder, no, the invasion stripes are not accurate to the paint scheme, which is actually of an Italian-based RAF Mustang, but obviously the owner doesn't really care, and it is neat seeing an RAF-marked/camo Mustang, sporting invasion stripes, operating in England (would be even better if it were a B/C). It is one of three or more Mustangs expected to serve as escort for the "Daks Over Normandy" flyovers coming up in a couple weeks.

Funny you should say that but one of my friends was in the Lake District, England and thought they saw a Dak being escorted by two aircraft fly over her on Monday.

Very probably, as John said its the 'Daks over Normandy' D-Day commemoration event this weekend, according to a link posted on Pprune, all the Daks coming from the yanks side of the pond are staging / meeting up in Prestwick before flying on to Duxford

One has just come down from Prestwick and is believed to have gone into Coventry and one of the PanAm Clippers has already arrived at Duxford.

    Sky Jeep over Edinburgh

I love preparing for trips by "surveying" my destination by virtual air before I arrive. In July, I have a business/pleasure trip to Edinburgh. I've taken to the air in David Molyneaux's wonderful Sky Jeep over Orbx Scotland (with some Scotflight add-ins as well). The Sky Jeep is a forgotten little gem and a blast to fly.

Given this view, I can't wait!

    Regards,
    Michael

    Oh God.

    Here we go again...

I hate it. I love it. I hate it. I love it...

(Look at it sitting there like it's the sweetest little creature on Earth, with it's tusks...)

    Okay. I'll fly it...

The original Chrislea SkyJeep can be found at Eggesford airstrip in Devon U.K. It's the only one still airworthy and can be viewed here -
