How about a video? This is an actual low level route near the California/Nevada border. It's an FSR rendering, so there is no sound, but watch in 1080.

Is that all white repaint & model for the old Alphasim version or the current Virtavia version?

Thank you. How did you get the cockpit glass to work in FSX? Looks perfect.
    Best regards, Manfred.

Henk made the model fsx native with the mdl converter. Actually quite a few mods you can do with that program.

The converted native FSX model uses reflective glass and specular maps. The initial version (with stock low res paints) can be found on AVSIM: Search for "SAAB JA-37 / AJ-37 Viggen (FSX native)". Jens Ole and myself are now working on version 2.

    Dave Garwood's Mosquito

Although I really love Dave Garwoord's Mosquito, I always considered the textures a bit "flat", which is why I started an attempt to improve them. As its a glued wooden aircraft it is difficult to add extra details. There aren't loads of rivets, so will I use shading and weathering to add some more depth to the textures.

The left wing is work in progress, the right wing still has the original textures.

Thanks JanKees, this is one of those projects from which you will never know how they end. The wings are reasonably easy to do, but I have to see whether the mapping of the fuselage allows shading......

BTW your F-100 textures don't look bad as well

    Cheers,
    Huub

Ha, in my case I did some work on the textures of the engine compartment, because I felt they looked a bit flat as well, I think they look a bit more like burnt metal now...

Nice work Huub, looks very good.

That is looking really good Huub.

Here is another corsair in the paint shop. Does anybody have a pic of her during the war? The few I have found are pics of models or profiles and none have the same scheme. Some show here like I have her here, some with tri-colour with the blue coming down over the wings, while others have a straight line down the fuse. (tri) Then there are the stars-n-bars, like I have dark blue over painted or the red out line. Thanks

Here you go, Joe. It looks to have had a (faded/dirty) tri-color scheme, and at the time these photos were taken, it looks like it had the red border (field-applied) around the stars & bars.
