I was over at Patrick's Aviation website and watched this great little animation short. It was posted there about [4] days ago. A guess a little time for introspection is due to us all.

Interesting....
Comments to the animation are almost as interesting.
War is not about killing as many people as you can. Any career military man will tell you that.
And "if you don't enjoy killing you won't be good at it"...
That one sure isn't borne out. Audie Murphy killed over 500 people on a lazy afternoon. I don't believe he ever expressed any particular fondness for it. There's a technical aspect of combat devoid of emotion that most amateurs do not understand.
Nice little Anime though. Thanks for the post.
Basic Flying Rules: "Try to stay in the middle of the air. Do not go near the edges of it. The edges of the air can be recognized by the appearance of ground, buildings, sea, trees and interstellar space. It is much more difficult to fly there."
Thanks for posting that. It was particularly interesting to me since it featured a 15Th AF B-24 on an October 17th , 1944 mission to Vienna.
My dad was a top turret gunner on 15th AF B-24's flying out of the Foggia, Italy area. His plane was shot down on 13, October, 1944 - over Vienna, and he spent the rest of the war as a POW. He had been over Vienna once before and said the flak there was particularly intense.
Thanks again for this -
