I think everyone is showing Z30W for SVBK on the Duenna. I wouldn't worry about it.

Landed safely at SKBG . Really enjoyed that flight . Good solid NDBs and VOR on airport really proved their worth as the weather socked in half way along . Happy to be in Colombia

Arrival at SKPI . I am a lucky git on this leg . I set my descent up and went afk for a few moments and rushed back when I remembered in horror I didn`t back the throttles off :isadizzy: On rushing back I saw 223 indicated and slammed the throttles back , checked duenna and saw 3 secs of overspeed Lucky boy

Very impressive spike on the speed on the duenna tracking. Glad you caught it in time. These DC-4's will pick up the speed on descent. Got to remember to thottle back before you start down. Not like the warbirds.

Yup I'm finding the same thing in my DC-4. Got to stay well ahead of the bird in terms of thinking on descent otherwise you arrive way too hot. That was the cause of my demise on the first leg. Just couldn't slow it down after the final dive into the FSX hole!

I am starting to think Jen's got his FDE a bit off as it doesn't bleed much speed even with full flaps and gear down. I may have to play with it after the event to see if I can increase the flap drag a bit.

Cheers Larry , she certainly is hard to slow down . Here`s what I do :

Terrain permitting : from TOD I dive on a "closed Throttle" when I remember keeping the KIAS at about 200 ( this is about 2000fpm )until about 2000 ft above rwy alt and approx 10-15 miles out ( a bit of a guessing game in these conditions ) then level out and let the speed bleed to about 170 , then engage flaps 5 , speed quickly drops to about 150 , then lower gear , and at 140 full flaps . this bleeds off the speed quickly to about 85 then you need quite a bit of throttle to maintain altitude and is very responsive in descent off the throttle . Of course most of the airfields are not well located for this but has worked well for me so far . Its a lot of fun to watch you and Jeff and studying each others progress on the duenna tracker It`s great flying in this area in these conditions with basic nav aids , Three cheers to the committee

Safe arrival at SERB Riobamba . Flew at 14500 direct to Latacunga VOR , then direct to Ambato NDB, which "threaded" perfectly through the mountains, then on to Riobamba in good weather for a steep descent and perfect silent landing on RWY 23 ,I wasn`t sure that I was on ground only for the decay in speed from the brakes

Safe arrival at SETM . Got a bit hairy along the . Scraped over a ridge at 14800 ft with feet to spare then the weather turnrd nasty and I saw my first lightning and dark clouds , these passed away and had a nice circle to land at Rwy 6 skirting a hill whist turning on finals
