Open Clouds

Anyone know what the deal with Open Clouds is?

It has been free up until tonight and it autoupdated itself and is now telling me I must subscribe if I want continued use. I don't mind donating or paying for something but to say it is free, use the community to help you debug then remove the program for someones machine and tell them they must now pay if they want to keep using it without a warning whatsoever seem wrong. Am I missing something?

Open clouds has become subscription based. If you still want a decent freeware try

Its as good, still free for the moment,but that may change as hinted.
