Prepping for takeoff to catch up with a carrier....

A rather longish flight for me, but I didn't get too off course. I did mess up my distance calculations somehow as I picked up the radio compass signal from the Saratoga earlier than I expected to. Finally I spotted the carrier between the cloud cover and dove down to get into the pattern. Then I hit a fog that dropped the visibility down a few notches. Once I reacquired the Sara, it was a simple matter of dropping the wheels and tailhook and coming on it.

Think we'll spend the night here in a warm comfy rack and take off tomorrow after coffee and donuts.

I'm getting ready to start my second pass at the event in a largish cargo plane, but I'm going to do it with Gunter's Real Engine installed. First though I've got to do some testing to see if I've got RE installed correctly.
