    HU-16...

....without a doubt. Dano did well on this one.

Not that I am a big rig driver, it's a very sentimental close-to-the-heart matter. I did a repaint of a relative, who was killed in a crash during night training mission over England in Sept. 1944 flying this plane, after having 5 bombing sorties over France and Eastern Germany. he stayed with his plane until 4 crew members baled out and survived. :salute:

You know, I always meant to pick up the HU-16, and I never did. Guess I'm out of luck now, eh?

Noddy, I did have problems as you can see below:

However, it seems that FSX-ish Hampden I downloaded from the Alphasim site, shortly before it disappeared, was at fault. There was only one prop texture in the texture folder, while there should have been three of them. Even so, those three prop textures still have the usual SP2 problem with cloud textures. In the end, MAL998 sorted me out with new lighter prop textures, and a new model file. Still not perfect, but good enough not to notice.

Additionally, the VC is not mouse-clickable. You have to use the pop-ups to do things like prop pitch and mixture adjustments.

So, its not perfect in FSX by any means. But the exterior model and textures really are very good, and its exactly the sort of aircraft I love - old, multi-engine props, something a little unusual...lovely stuff. Alphasim at its best, I think.

    Cheers Paul,

Yeah I did not have problems like your picture, but there are still issues.

As you say a nice model, what Alpha did best.

Okay, well if you want a quick fix for what I suspect might be your problem, PM me your email, and I'll send the three prop textures that Mal sent to me.

The FSX versions of the F-105D and T-34C are my favorites. Lots of repaints available.

The Albatross ranks high on my list also.

No mention of the Long EZ?
Love it. Just loaded it up on FSX. Had it in FS9.
Only trouble I'm having with it is I can't turn on the GPS in FSX.

I think you click the aerial marked Garmin, I think that's right, I like the EZ too actually!
