    Exclamation Just In Case...

... you were curious too - I searched the info on CAT Animation for the group:

    http://www.creative-3d.net/cat.cfm

Interesting - RJ, does it REALLY eat resources if one gets carried away with an animation ?

    Hi Sc
    Wrong cat.
The cat tool kit I used is on the fsdevelopers forum is cat2K (The Conditional Animation Tool) (CAT) for fs2002 not fs2004.
I an still looking at the program.
The locks are closed at the start, wait a while and the gates open, its good for boats and subs.
When I am flying, the lods are close together when it get busy and like the lods a bit jumpy.
Have you got time to do the dps etc for La Rochelle subpen and sluisbunker.Thinking of torpedo pens around La Rochelle, and maybe a train on tracks as ordinary scenery, as the tracks has to be laid on location, hills ,cuttings, and bridges. Do yo know a good ground surveyor LOL

    Hi Tobob
Its looking better every time I see it.
The warth is it your models. How well do they fit, I can adjust my models. The Crane in the model I have taken it away and build a better one like in Das Boot film. I built a cat animated bridge and just diong the dp files. Finding it quite hard but will get there. Will send you my new model.

For the docks I used Xaviers piers and pieced them together in GSL.

    Missions and subpens

Have anyone used the subpens in missions because I do not do much flying or playing missions, I can't even build a mission yet to test them.
Do they fire at you. What do you think of the dps. How would like my models to improve.
I am thinking about models and fps, and towns and citys, and thinking of making large areas of housing in ordinary scenery with gaps to put distroyable buildings in between This way I can make large areas with lots of lods what do you think.Designing for this game is a headache but enjoyable

    RJ,

I have not had the opportunity to use your sub pens just yet, but I'm getting close. I'll have to go in and retrofit my harbors at Nantes, St. Nazaire, and perhaps even St. Malo, along with Wilhelmshaven. Rest assured that I will. Then we'll see how they hold up.

    RJ;

You know what would be great and help Mission Builder a great deal? A Series of Historically Correct Layouts to use in MB or to install in GSL. I'm sure they'd get used if they were a built in GSL GOB.

You do that and people will be running to break out their Lancasters and Tallboys/Grand Slams, oh and of course a Mossie with a really big cookie.

    Pen32Win,

I have no problem making the GSL files. Have you taken a look at my GSL ports and layouts yet?

I've D/L'ed them, was ready to install them, and all of your ETO Target Paks, when I got tied up trying to sort out the BoB/RAF Objects mess. The Tiger has sunk his teeth.....

    Sub Pens

They work great RJ and they add a lot of nice scenery to our ports.

I have a nice German 88mm FLAK canon by an unknown author that I set up around the pens in three gun batteries for AA defense. I'm so busy dodging their FLAK, that I haven't noticed the 20mm on top of the pens shooting. I'll set up a mission in the next day or two and give it a try. I think that I'll add some of Pen's new FLAK 38 20mm guns to the mix too. That should keep the paint fresh on the pens.

    Nice picture, as always.

    Which are those S-boots?

    Discus,

I'm pretty sure that they are Usio's S Boats.

We have the choice of three S Boats in CFS 2 and all three are pretty good. Usio's is probably the most detailed, but it hits the frame rates a little more than the others. Mas has two models. One with onboard crewmen and one without.

Here are info shots of all three "Schnell Boote" for mission builders.

    Hi Folks,

I've been doing a little more consolidation of Robert John's library objects.

With Robert's approval I've included the La Rochelle sub pen and sluice bunker in his Sub_Pens package.

    http://www.sim-outhouse.com/sohforum...id=280&id=3577

They are also found in Tobob's La Rochelle scenery package.
