    Alternative Display Smoke Effects

I've been having a lot fun with the various aerobatic flying machines of late, (Su-26, Pitts S-1C, S-1S, S-2A, S-2B, Christen Eagle II and default Extra 300) but the default thick white smoke effect starting behind the fin that comes with FSX, some what detracts from the experience. So I set about trying to make some better ones which while not perfect I think greatly enhance the experience.

There are two file types to cover single or dual exhaust points and come in four different colours which fade over distance.

Anyway here's some screen shots for you to judge for yourselves.

This is the dual exhaust version

Finally here's a special option that allows choice of any of the four colours via pilot selection during flight

    that's great!!

I can only hope that we'll have smoke that looks like it's blown by thrust one day.

Yeh, thrust effect would be good, but at least it is affected by the wind so having some crosswind helps the effect and when in a vertical climb you can see it billowing out under gravity, it's much more effective than still pictures can convey.

That looks fantastic, excellent work. Will you be uploading it anywhere when you're happy with it?

Well I've just uploaded it here on SOH, so if anyone wants to try them it'll be available once approved.

NB: They won't overwrite any default files, so no worries there.
