    Help Please!

    I have a few aircraft that do not stand flush with the tarmac... some are above and some seem imbedded in it...like a quarter or more of the mainwheels buried in the tarmac...
    I am basically a flyer and avid repainter but do not possess much savvy as to tweeking the aircraft configuration or air file on a model... Whoever can be so kind to give me a hand with this issue.. please do...

    As requested above ....
    Can you enumerate the specific planes ?
    The best is to give the download name (xxxx.zip) and from wich library
    Until we have those specs .. nobody can really help you immediately !

    For the aircraft that have this problem, open the aircraft folder in question.
    Find the aircraft.cfg and open with Notepad. (You may wish to make a backup copy before changes).

    Scroll down to the section {Contact Points}. They will look like this (maybe without the leading comments):

    //0 Class
    //1 Longitudinal Position (feet)
    //2 Lateral Position (feet)
    //3 Vertical Position (feet) //4 Impact Damage Threshold (Feet Per Minute)
    //5 Brake Map (0=None, 1=Left, 2=Right)
    //6 Wheel Radius (feet)
    //7 Steer Angle (degrees)
    //8 Static Compression (feet) (0 if rigid)
    //9 Max/Static Compression Ratio
    //10 Damping Ratio (0=Undamped, 1=Critically Damped)
    //11 Extension Time (seconds)
    //12 Retraction Time (seconds)
    //13 Sound Type

    point.0 = 1, 0.90, 0.00, -4.09, 1500, 0, 0.5, 22.0, 0.25,2.5, 0.7, 0.0, 0.0, 0

    point.2 = 1, -4.70, 4.50, -4.01, 3500, 2, 0.5, 0.0, 0.3, 2.5, 0.7, 0.0, 0.0, 3

    The numbers in RED undicate the vertical distance to the ground. Adjust these up or down by .2 at a time until you find the aircraft gear sitting on the tarmax as you like. It is best to use the runway or a good taxiway of a larger airport for these adjustments.
