I know it's a desafected airport from longtime .. but sometime it's still used (I see time ago a Canso there )
That's a very interesting place (I visited in the begin eighties ..)

One of my uncles was stationed there for about 3 years as an electrician on a Navy tug boat (YTM 541). He loved it up there. Tug duty was gravy to begin with. He said that Argentia just made it better.

    Hi,

It's indeed a very nice (isolated) place...
The small fishermen village(s) of Argentia and Clearwater or Foxtrap are beautiful and surounded by the wild nature ( you can see all this when no fog )
You can also observe at some time the whales in the Argentia bay
I stayed 1 year there for job purpose ... and spend some of my freetime at exploring the abandonned airfield ......
Maybe someone will make a scenery of this nice place !

Someone was working on it -- before the last SOH crash there was an active thread begun by whoever had planned the project and several of us had provided links or info. Sadly, I can't remember who it was...

Hopefully we'll here more now that the discussion is going again.
