Oliver Fischer's Bücker Jungmann repaint request

    Hi everyone,
I know there are many talented repainters here at SOH and I wonder if one them is interested in doing the F-AZUL as can be seen here:

    Best regards,

    Hi johnh_049,
just look for a file called "buecker_jungmann_paintkit.zip" at avsim.com, it's a paint kit file done by Leen de Jager...

I'm sorry about the paintkit but all I know about computers is to "flight simulate"!

Ive started the repaint. Some interesting changes in his plane compared with a typical German Jungmann. Also, it appears to have metal struts where the typical type is wood. I think the center top wing N struts are also different, as though the wings are farther back, especially the top, but I could be wrong.

I was hoping to have it done by today, but didnt get enough things sorted into respective order. I am having to do alot of copy/pasting of parts (surfaces) so that I have blank ribbed tails and the top wing striped. Most of mine are stripes on both wings, checkers on the bottom, stripes on the tails.

The true repaint 'realist' artist is BB; Banana Bob. That guy could make a real looking paint scheme from these photos. What a talented guy...

    Many thanks for trying Bill!
I agree with you about BananaBob but I think he moved to FSX and one more thing is that he hasn't been around for a while unfortunately...

I too am doing a repaint of this. But I can see that I shall have to do my own detail layers, working over the plain white bitmap with linear or color burn just does not work with this as with others. But I expect by weekend I shall have something.

Here is mine so far. I note that F-AZUL has no wheel spats, but to do that, I would have to use model 1 and that made alignment of the wings stripes a PITA.

Note that the model file also has more sheen for the metal parts, so no matter how I treat the Alpha, in direct light, the metal is lighter than the fabric.

This is not the same mode Bucker as in the reference photos, but it's as good as I could do right now. After some touch ups, I'll send it up, then wait for Bill's treat.

    gribouil,

I just uploaded my finished paint for F-AZUL. Do not go by the Title in the download, it is F-AZUL, not F-AZUK.

    Hello Cazzie,
this really is a nice repaint but I think the correct colors are blue and silver not white, don't you agree?
