    Updated Gato class sub

Tango Romeo has come through and revised the VN Gato, which was not multi LOD. The new version now is, and should work fine.

Lord knows I pestered him enough to have a brood for my almost ready tender.

You can get it at Simviation in the new files:

    http://simviation.com/1/browse-CFS2+-3-0

There is a submerged version and some other files!

    Thanks TR!:salute:

This shot from the SimV forum makes it look like he's still 'tweaking'.

Wow, that reminds me of the good times with SH2 in the Pacific. They look terrific!:salute:

Haha - you mean SH1, right? 2 and 3 were U-Boats. I was going to post an SH4 screenshot! The CFS2 version compares very favorably!

Now there's SH4 (Pacific Fleet Boats) and SH5 (Back to U-Boats)

Well, not really. It was SH2.

Silent Hunter 2 was a bit like CFS2: you could turn it into whatever you wanted. There were full mods for the Pacific (US Silent Service) and for the Mediterranean (Italian and UK ships). You could even be a Soviet commander in the Black Sea, or Finnish in the Leningrad area.

Then came SH3-4-5, which were not meant for me. Those games started to become too complicated, with crew management and heavy CPU requirements. I sticked to SH2 until my new computer couldn't handle the graphics (just two or three years ago actually).

I still keep it in my computer and try it every time a new driver for my graphic card is released. Hopefully some day it will work again. It happened with Fighting Steel, another good oldie, so...
    Greetings from Spain
