    why do they do that?

I was flying some of my FS9 prop planes earlier today, and I couldn't see the clouds through the prop. Why does it do this? srry if this has already been answered a dozen times. I'm a slow learner.

I believe its do to a Modeling and texturing of the FS9 plane being used in FSX.

Things were changed/improved between FS9 and FSX and the way the alpha channel is used was one of them hence the issues with using a FS9 port-over in FSX.

Not only do you not see the clouds through the prop from the VC but the prop hides behind the clouds in external view too.
