Perhaps the closure is related to the fact that there are two fs-shipyard sites -
    http://www.fs-shipyards.com/
    and
    http://www.fs-shipyards.org/.

It would be a shame if both were to be closed ...

Don't worry, FS-Shipyards won't be closed. FSAddon Publishing stepped in to help Ian's widow to keep the site (and all of its freeware content) alive for many years to come.

Since I'll be traveling to the US soon, I'll not have a lot of time myself to look after the activities, but I am sure the 'regulars' will see to that :USA-flag:

    What happened to fs-shipyards.com?

Hi, I have a question. Can you tell me what happened to fs-shipyards.com, why and when, whether it will ever return and whether all of its products are currently available elsewhere?

I just went there to see what I might see. What I saw was a white page with this note:

"Please bear with us, due to a PHP upgrade, FS-Shipyard's portal requires a replacement
Redirecting you to FS-Shipyard's Forum in five seconds, or click here."

When I clicked there I got to the FS Shipyards forum. The index is there but shown the latest post with a date in February 2018. I don't know if it's still possible to post new messages but the old ones are still accessible.

It seems that only the forum remains, and there are no notes about the downloads. It looks like they may be gone.
